Albert Ollie Hicks - 1907 - 1975 Mr. Hicks had been a resident of Vanduser for many years. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Hicks had been in failing health the past four years. Surviving are three brothers: Roy Hicks of Vanduser, Missouri, Clarence Hicks of Painton, Missouri, and Jim Hicks of Grant City, Illinois; one sister Mrs. Oddie Miller of St. Louis, Missouri; several nephews and nieces, also other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his passing. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
