CHAFFEE -- Norman J. Kay, 90, died at 4:55 p.m. May 29, 1997, at the Chaffee Nursing Center. Born Feb. 21, 1907, at Danville, Ill., son of the late John and Agnes Baumer Kay, he was a retired machinist with the Frisco Railroad Company in Chaffee. He was a member of the International Association of Machinist of Memphis, Tenn. and a member of the St. Ambrose Men Club and St. Ambrose Catholic Church. On Oct. 16, 1941, he married Janice Ashley who survives of the home. Other survivors include: one sister, Glenna Faye Vogel of Portageville,. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today with parish prayers at 7 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cememtery in Chaffee.
