BEAUMONT, Texas -- Charles A. Lane, 65, formerly of Chaffee, MO., died at the Golden Triangle Convalescent Center in Beaumont. Born Aug. 24, 1929, at Chaffee, son of the late Leo L. and Nora Bidewell Lane, he was a 1947 graduate of Chaffee High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and was honorably discharged a year later. He worked as a manager for several motel chains in the Beaumont area. Survivors include: one nephew, Richard L. Horn of Beaumont; two aunts, Anna Bidewell and Mora Bidewell of Advance, MO.; and two cousins, Helen Welch of Jackson, MO., and Mildred Rivers of Bell City, MO.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Dortha Lee Horn.  Graveside rites will be given at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, MO., with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating.  Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.  (no date of death shown . Possibly around Sept 26, 1994)
