    Lucile Mount, 92, died Feb. 7, 2000, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born July 31, 1907, in Morehouse, daughter of the late Frank E. and Nellie C. Short Mount, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston since July 1, 1918, where she was an active member of the United Methodist Women's Club. She earned a bachelors degree from Western State University in Bowling Green, KY., and taught in the Sikeston Public School system for 47 years before retiring. A 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 137 in Sikeston, where she was worthy matron in 1934, she was a sponsor of Job's Daughters. In 1988, she received the Rev. M. G. and Myra Joyce Christian Education and Evangelism Award. She was a second sponsor of Future Teachers of America and member of the Missouri State Teachers Association, Retired Teachers Association and Scott County Teachers Association.

    Survivors include: two sisters, Virginia Gallivan of New Madrid and Carrie Nellie Hancock of Winter Garden, FL; and several nieces and nephews. One brother, Willard F. Mount, and one sister Edna Mont Turner, preceded her in death.

    Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Demster Chapel of the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Davis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will following the Sikeston City Cemetery.
