Louis Myers, Jr. - 1921 - 1975

    Louis Myers, Jr. - 1921 - 1975
    of Chaffee, Missouri, son of the late Louis and Mary Harnes Myers, a farmer and a construction worker, was born September 3, 1921 near Randles, Missouri, passed away June 30, 1975, in the General Hospital, Chaffee, Missouri, at the age of 53 years, 9 months, and 27 days.

    He was united in marriage October 12, 1946 to Juanita Hitt, she survives.  Also surviving are 1 brother James Myers, Chaffee; 3 sisters Mrs. Jessie Killian, Kankakee, Illinois, Mrs. Josie Dees, Dexter, Missouri, Mrs. Mary Lee Ross, Memphis, Tennessee, and many other relatives and friends.  Two sisters and 1 brother preceded him in death.

    He was of the Baptist faith, and was a World War II veteran.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
