Mrs. H. H. Robinson

    The Sikeston (Mo.) Herald
    Thursday, October 16, 1941
    Page Four
Rites Held Sunday For Mrs. Byrd's Mother

    Mrs. H. H. Robinson
    Born:March 6, 1881
    Died: 1941

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Seabaugh Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau for Mrs. H. H. Robinson of Morley, mother of Mrs. Margaret Byrd of Sikeston, who died at 7 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Davidson in Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Robinson had been ill with complications for about three months and had gone to the Davidson home four weeks ago.

The body was removed to the Seabaugh Funeral Home, where the services were conducted by Rev. H. M. Andrews. Interment was made in the Miller cemetery, five miles west of Millersville.

Mrs. Robinson was born March 6, 1881, near Marble Hill and lived in the Scopus community for several years with her family, then spent ten years on a farm near Dexter before moving to Morley eight years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Robinson are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Byrd of Sikeston, and Misses Ramona, Nell and Adele Robinson of Morley, two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau and Mrs. E. V. Estes of Marquand, a brother, Lee Austin, and a half-brother, Wm. Limbaugh, both of Millersville, and two grandchildren.

NOTE: BY CAROL J. BOWMAN: Based on the clues in the obituary, I believe this lady was Mrs. Henry H. Robinson, maiden name Hattie Austin, daughter of John P. E. Austin and Telitha Catherine Miller who were married on 22 Feb 1880.

I believe the "sister," Mrs. J. M. Limbaugh, was actually a sister-IN-LAW, wife of Jefferson M. Limbaugh, son of Telitha Catherine Miller and her first husband, Cornelius Hamilton Limbaugh.

Sister, Mrs. E. V. Estes, was actually a HALF-sister, Mary Limbaugh, daughter of Telitha Catherine Estes and her first husband, Cornelius Hamilton Limbaugh. She married Earl Van Estes.

Brother, Lee Austin, was actually a HALF-brother, Lee Tildon Austin, son of John P. E. Austin and his first wife, Angeline Miller, who was a sister of Telitha Catherine Miller.

Half-brother, William Limbaugh, is correct. He was a son of Telitha Catherine Miller and her first husband, Cornelius Hamilton Limbaugh.
