    Mrs. Esther Reams - 1896 - 1968
    Mrs. Esther Reams
    , 72 years of age, of Oran, passed away Wednesday night in a Farmington hospital, where she had been for one week.  She had lived in Oran for about 20 years, except the last 2 years when she was in a Sikeston Nursing Home.  

    Mrs. Reams was born at Malden, MO, December 31, 1896, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Kelso.  She was married to Wm. Friedrich in 1915.  He died in 1927.  In 1933, she married John Reams of near Painton, who passed away in 1954.

    Surviving are three sons:
        Roy Friedrich - Viburum
        Lawrence Friedrich - Burley, Idaho
        Franklin Reams - St. Louis
    three daughters by the first marriage
        Mrs. Irvin Baiter - Rockwood, Illinois
        Mrs. Ben Hess - Burfordville
       Mrs. Freda Mansker - Oran
    a half-sister
        Mrs. Ivel Chasteen - Alton, Illinois
    two half-brothers
        Cecil Kelso - Dupo, Illinois
        Russel Kelso - Fresno, California
    28 grandchildren
    16 greatgrandchildren

    Mrs. Reams was a member of the First Baptist Church here.  She leaves besides her family a host of other relatives and friends.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
