    Maude Mae Shelby - 1896 - 1963
    Maude Mae Shelby
    was born Feb. 17, 1896 in Blodgett, Missouri, passed away Nov. 5, 1963, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 18 days.

    She was the daughter of the late Henry and Sarah Boyer Noble.

    She was united in marriage Sept. 17, 1918 to Barney Shelby, he preceded her in death July 31, 1960.

    Mrs. Shelby leaves to mourn her passing two children:
        Harold Shelby, West Frankfort, Illinois
        Mrs. Sam Buttery, Fisk, Missouri
    also eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

    She was a member of the General Baptist Church at Parma, Missouri.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
