Thomas Storey - 1904 - 1973 He was employed by the Manufacturers Railway County of St. Louis for 20 years before retiring September 16, 1969 and moving to Perkins October 1 of the same year. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of St. Louis. On September 14, 1962, he married Helen Lucille Thompson who survives. Also surviving are one daughter Mrs. Shirley Arnold of Anchorage, Alaska, one brother Bertis Storey of East St. Louis, Illinois, one sister Mrs. Lida Hogg of Perkins, and three grandchildren. Services were held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee, with Rev. W. S. Bailey of Perkins officiating. Burial was in Williams Cemetery at Perkins. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
