1916-1997 SCOTT CITY - Bernard George "Barney" Stubenrauch, 81, died at 12:21 p.m., Aug 2, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born June 3, 1916, at Oran, son of the late Emil Joseph and Bertha Theresa Metz Stubenrauch, he was a self-employed farmer and member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. On May 10, 1938, at Scott City, he married Coena Anna Bucher who survives of the home. Other survivors include: two sons, Gary Stubenrauch of Scott City and Lonnie Stubenrauch of Advance; one daughter, Donna Kaye Bell of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Herman Stubenrauch of Kelso; two sisters, Marcella Diebold and Stella Graviett of Oran; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One brother and three sisters preceded him in death. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where parish prayers are scheduled for 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Wissman offficiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Scott City.NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Annette Lale, June 2000.
