    1915-1998

    ORAN -- Germain A. Tenkhoff, 83, died at 4:45 a.m. Dec. 30, 1998, at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born Jan 16, 1915, in Oran, son of the late Leo William and Mary Magdalene Metz Tenkhoff, he retired as owner and operator of T&H Grocery Store in Oran. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St Joseph Sodality and Knights of Columbus Council 4311 in Oran and Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810. Survivors include; one son, Jere Tenkhoff of Oran; three stepsons, Mark Mosebach of Oran, Charles Mosebach of Benton and Bruce Mosebach of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Glen "Shug" Tenkhoff and Bernard Tenkhoff of Oran; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three wives, three brothers and one sister. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where a parish rosary at 7 p.m. will be followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kevin Tenkhoff, Dale Tenkhoff, Darrin Tenkhoff, Dan Tenkhoff, Mark Mosebach, and and Charles Mosebach.
