SE Missourian Sept 14, 1988   Cape Girardeau, MO. Funeral service for Sylvester J. Urhahn of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate, with burial at St Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call at Ford and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. tonight. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.  Urhahn, 75 years old, died Tuesday, Sept 13, 1988, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.  He was born Oct. 22, 1912, at New Hamburg, son of Jacob and Mary (Hahn) Urhahn. He and the former Annie Elfrink were married Oct 13, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1981.  Urhahn was a truck driver for several years and was a member of St.Mary’s Cathedral Parish.  Survived include one son, Jacob Urhahn of Jackson; two daughters, Mary Ann Ha of Cape Girardeau and Christina Urhahn of Jackson; one brother, Gilbert Urhahn of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Ann Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.  Three sons also preceded him in death.
