ORAN – Joseph A. Vogel, 71, died at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 1, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.  Born March 18, 1921, at Oran, son of the late Joseph Anton and Mary Magdalene Metz Vogel, he was owner and operator of an auto parts dealership in Oran for many years, and later became owner and operator of the Oran Insurance Agency /Bookkeeping and Tax Accountant, until he retired in 1991. He was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Sodality Knights of Columbus Council 4311 in Oran.  On Jan 3, 1976, he married Mary Anne Lane Hamilton, who survives of the home.  Other survivors include: two stepsons, Joseph Lee Hamilton of Kevil, Ky., and Michael Lane Hamilton of Riedland, Ky.; three step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.  Four brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.  Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran, where a rosary will be conducted at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating.  Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Catholic Church Cemetery in Oran.  Pallbearers will be: Don Keifer, Ron Keifer, Kerry Lasters, Marty Priggle and Con Priggle.
