    Marvin Linell Warner - 1920 - 1960
    Marvin Linell Warner,
    of Normandy, Mo., a son of the late Andrew and Lenora Warner, was born March 29, 1920, at Perkins, Mo., passed away in a hospital in St. Louis having been in poor health for the past five years, at the age of 40 years one month and seven days.

    On November 12, 1937, he was married to Miss Elsie Marie Menz, of Oran and Perkins, to this union was born one son.

    Twenty years ago Mr. Warner professed faith in Christ and from then on he lived a good Christian life.

    Mr. Warner is survived by his wife, one son, "Buddy" Marvin Warner, of Normandy, Mo., two brothers: Norvel Warner of Pontiac, Michigan and Noah Warner of Oran, Missouri, one half brother Calvin Carpenter of Pontiac, Michigan; three sisters Mrs. Inez Vanvalkenburgh of Pontiac, Michigan, Mrs. Maggie Shelton and Mrs. Daisy Williams of Oran, Missouri; one grandson Jeffery Steven Warner; numerous other relatives and a large host of friends.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
