John H. Wendel - 1882 - 1966 He was united in marriage June 24, 1908 to Ida M. Ingle, she preceded him in death February 27, 1958, to this union 8 children were born, 3 children preceded him in death, surviving are: Ray Wendel, Scott City, Mo., Dorsey Wendel, Ravenna, Ohio, Mrs. Gladys Parks, and Mrs. Lois O'Conner, San Diego, California and Leonard Wendel, St. Louis, Mo. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, with Rev. W. S. Bailey officiating. Burial was in Morgan Cemetery. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
