    Earl D. Williams - 1904 - 1974
    Earl D. Williams
    , 69, died March 12, 1974, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

    He was born Nov. 6, 1904 at Lowndes to the late Thomas and Laura Irvin Williams and was a member of the Messler General Baptist Church.

    On October 1, 1932, he married Opal Wagoner, who survives.

    Other survivors include two sons, Allen Williams of Bridgeton and Mike Williams of Painton; four daughters Barbara Hempe of Boise, Idaho, Kathy Vancil of Bridgeton, Reba Gardner of Andalusis, Pa., and Marilyn McConnell of Chicago, Illinois; one sister Edith Smith of Flint, Michigan, and nine grandchildren.

    Services were held at Morgan Funeral home at Advance with Rev. L. L. Barks of Jackson officiating, burial was in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.


NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
