Leonard T. Wendel - 1921 - 1969 He is survived by 6 children Mrs. Lois Ann Whisenhunt, Mrs. Lavonne Kay Brogan, Leonard T. Wendel, Jr., Mrs. Nona Farris, Leland Anthony Wendel and Larry Dale Wendel all of St. Louis, Mo. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 brothers Dorsey M. Wendel of Ravenna, Ohio, Ray Wendel of Scott City, Missouri, 2 sisters Mrs. Gladys W. Parks of Lueders, Texas and Mrs. Lois E. O'Connor of San Diego, California and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a veteran of World War II. Arrangements were handled by Morgan Funeral Home of Advance. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
