Mrs. Louis J. Wagoner - 1894 - 1966 Mrs. Wagoner was born July 9, 1894 in Illinois and on July 6, 1910, she married Louis J. Wagoner, who survives at the home. They had lived in the Perkins community the past 37 years. Other survivors are three daughters Mrs. Earl Williams, and Mrs. Lyman Spane both of Painton, and Mrs. Robert Phegley of Flint, Michigan; five sons Donald Wagoner of Painton, Edward Wagoner of Perkins, Ray Wagoner of Chaffee, and Floyd and Lloyd Wagoner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters Mrs. Maggie Brooks of St. Louis and Mrs. Leva Smith of Paragould, Arkansas. Arrangements were handled by Bisplinghoff Funeral Home in Chaffee, services were held in the Perkins Baptist Church and burial was in Williams Cemetery. NOTE: The following obituary is contributed by Floyd Cooper, from the records of his grandfather Rev. William Sidney Bailey who was pastor of several churches around southeast Missouri in the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's (Perkins, Chaffee, Commerce, Hayti, Wyatt, Clarkton, and Blodgett). Rev. Bailey was living in Perkins when he died at the age of 82 and is buried in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
