Poster-#-73-

Edward Hamilton Moore SR born, October 20, 1872,Fort Dodge, Dubuque, Iowa, married Effie Frances Estes born September 18, 1880 West Plains, Missouri ( Howell County ). They both died and are buried in Olney, Richlind COunty, Illinois.

They were married June 18, 1912 Fornfelt, Scott County, Missouri. Both Effie and Edward lived in Scott county at the time of their marriage and on into the 1920's also, not sure when the Estes (if others other then Effie were there) or the Moore family came to Fornfelt, Scott County, Missouri. These were my grandparents and Edward was a building contractor. I have lots of other things on the family, but not much is known to me on their time in Fornfelt. I do have a picture of the house they lived in and the caves right across form it where my dad used to play. He took me to see it in the 1980's and it still looked like a nice house. I am not sure if Edward Moore built it too or not. I am interested in contacting any cousins or others who may know something of this familys time in Fornfelt, Scott County, Missouri.
Thank You,
Pris leevis@shawneelink.com

Their children were:
Edward Hamilton (JR) Moore, born April 05, 1913; died November 24, 1960 in Belington, West Virginia.

Thelma Estes Moore, born June 10, 1914; died June 21, 1987 in Olney, Richland Co., Illinois.

Paul Othel Moore, born July 06, 1918 in Fornfelt, Scott Co., Missouri (Now known as Scott City); died March 06, 1990.

Victor Hugo Moore, born February 14, 1922 in Fornfelt, Scott Co., Missouri (Now known as Scott City); died April 26, 1998 in Olney, Richland Co., Illinois. (My Father)

Surnames:(in capital letters only) CLINE LEE
Comments:
I am searching for my husband's grandparents, Edward & Leana Cline Lee. They moved to Chaffee in the early 1920's or before from Arkansas. Edward was killed when he was hit by a train in Chaffee, maybe in the early 1930's. Leana died soon after supposedly of a broken heart. I can't find anything about them in the Scott Co. web site. Their childrens names were Leona--Charles---- Gladys--- Ethel----Vivian-----Jack---Ralph. Ralph was my husband's father. Ralph was only about 5 when his father died & 6 when his mother died. If anyone has any info on the Lee family to share we would be grateful.

Seeking info on William Thornton IRWIN who was married, I think, in Scott County around 1900 to Nola PROFFER. I'm deducing this due to his mother, Margaret (Maggie) living in Perkins at that time. Nola was born in Missouri, but the county is unknown. Their first son, Hoyt, was born in Missouri around 1905, city unknown. Interested in any IRWIN information. Thanks.

Surnames:(in capital letters only) SLAWSON
Comments:
My GGGrandfather, John Lloyd Slawson, was a preacher who at one time lived in Scott County. He and his son, William Slawson, also (as family legend goes) built, owned and operated a mill in Scott County (I am told near the I55/Scott City exit). I would like assistance finding out where he preached as I have no idea even of his denomination. It would have been approximately 1860-1880 as best I can tell. I am also interested in any help anyone can provide as to mills that may have stood during that same timeframe.

Thank you for your interest and help.
