| Comments: | Hi SONYABYTES@aol.com, I found your name as being interested in the Scott Co. DIRICKSON family on the RootsWeb site for Scott Co. The problem is this is no longer a good e-mail address. We are trying to find info on Geo. W. DIRICKSON who died in 1925 in Farmington, MO and was buried at the Commerce Cem. by Clifford DIRICKSON. This Geo. was a widower in 1925, however, his late wife seemingly was Lucy. I did find Clifford, born 1885 in IL, in Scott Co., MO in 1930. We are trying to connect this Geo. into our DERICKSON family, as the husband of, married 1874 in Washington Co., MO, Missouri -----, wd of James BAYS. He really wasn't heard from since 1884. My cousin Becky and I will be awaiting your reply. Many thanks for any help, or suggestions, you can offer us. Barbara in Georgia |

| Name: | Jim Gray <J65Gray97@AOL.com> |

| Surnames:(in capital letters only) | Gray |
| Comments: | I am looking for any information possible on the descendants of Drakeford Gray. Information follows: Drakeford Gray b:Aug 15,1791 Kentucky, d: unk, m: Harriet Elliot. Moved with parents to Livingston Co, Ky. which is just south of Illinois. Probably enlisted in the Illinois Rangers and fought at the Battle of Sink Hole against the Indian chief Black Hawk. After the War of 1812, he and brother John settled the Wolf Island area (Mississippi County) Missouri while it was still a territory, just across the Mississippi River from Kentucky.Mississippi County later became Scott Co, Mo. Feel certain he is the son of William L. Gray b: abt 1767 and son of Drakeford b: 1740. The 1830 census for Scott Co, Mo shows one male under 40 years of age in household.....that would be Drakeford at the age of 39 since he was born in 1791. The 1840 Scott Co. census shows Drakeford household as one male under the age of 60. This conflicts with the 1830 census but could be the fault of the census taker. The 1830 Scott Co. census for John Gray (brother of this Drakeford) shows one male under the age of 40......which coincides with his actual birth of Oct 9, 1793. |
