- Services for: CHARLES HOWARD
- CHARLES HOWARD, retired farmer, dies. Charles Oscar Howard, 81, of Rt. 1 Painton, a retired farmer, died early
Wednesday morning March 17 (1971) in a Dexter hospital where he was admitted March 16.
Mr. Howard was born in Creal Springs, Ill. Aug. 14, 1889 (Should be 1890).
His first wife, the former Miss Jessie Odhum (Owdom), dies in 1932. In 1944 he was married to Miss Clara Hefner
who survives at the family home.
- Also surviving are five daughters,
Mrs. Bonnie Lennington of Jackson,
Mrs. Dana Irwin of Perkins,
Mrs. Maxine Lear of Waukegan, Ill.,
Mrs. Ella Brewer of Marion, Ill.,
and Mrs. Virginia Osburn,
Leavenworth, Kan.;
- five sons,
Bert Howard of Advance,
Billy Howard of St. Charles,
Ned Howard
and Charles Howard, both of Leavenworth,
and jackie Howard of San Francisco, Calif.;
- 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
- Services were at 10 Friday morning March 19 at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The Rev. John Maynard, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Bell City,
officiated and Burial was in Fairview Cemetery near Advance.
