"Kenneth Gene Sissum, a resident of Advance, was born January 11, 1942, at
Russellville, Arkansas and passed away July 8, 1973, as the result of an
accident involving a gasoline transport truck in which he was a passenger. He
was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sissum of Puxico. He was united in marriage
to Judith Ann Chailland of Bell City, Missouri, at the Garden Ridge General
Baptist Church, she survives. To this union, one daughter, Kimberly Jean,
eleven months, was born. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester
Sissum, two brothers David and Michael, and three sisters, Linda of the home,
Mrs. Ronald Irwin, of Marble Hill, Mo., and Mrs. Frank Dunn, of Scott City, MO.
Also surviving are his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charley Rackley, of
Bloomfield. He attended school at Bell City, Mo., and was a veteran of the
Vietnam conflict. Funeral services were held Wednesday, at 2:00 pm, at the
Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clytee Harness and Rev. Johyn Huffman, of
Jackson, officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Thompson, Wade Thompson, Junior
Pullum, Walter Dunn, and James Watts. Burial was in Morgan Memorial Cemetery."
