- Surmames: DEMENT, WILLIAMS of Duck Creek Twp. Stoddard Co. MO Working on all DEMENT lines. Dr. Cader DEMENT b. 1830 in Rutherford Co. TN went to Stoddard Co. MO before 1860, in Obion Co. TN in 1870, and back to Stoddard Co. by 1880. His first wife and some children are buried in Rock Hill Cem., Duck Creek Twp. near Puxico. My James Francis DEMENT b. 1871 m. Sophrona WILLIAMS. She was the daughter of Francis Marion WILLIAM b.1844 and died 1908. Francis 1st married Elizabeth ISAACS in Pope Co. IL and 2nd married Elizabeth BOYER. I will gladly exchange information. - Seeking help on the HENSONs who were in Stoddard County by 1839. Especiall interested in Samuel HENSON who died 1869 and is buried in Moore Cemetery. - Requesting info on Isaac SWALLOWS and family who came to Stoddard County, MO in the early 1880's from Daviess County, Indiana. Isaac's wife's maiden name was Mary Belle ORRENDER. Isaac was born @ 1838 in Tennessee and first shows up in Indiana in Daviess County in 1860. Isaac's children included Richard, Elijah, Sarah, Mary E., Catherine, Reuben, Delia and Charley Anderson. Isaac died soon after coming to Missouri. Mary Belle later remarried Livingston SCHOLES in 1885. Mary E. married John SHOEMATE (and moved to Butler County), Reuben married Cora CANADY, and Sarah married Ira SUMMERS. Charley Anderson (my g-grandfather) married Lula Ruth SWAN. Who were Isaac's parents? Can anyone help me?

- Looking for info on John BEASLEY born 2-14-1813 in GA. Was living Stoddard Co. by 1840. Represented his district in 1853 in the MO state legislation. By 1860 he was in Erath Co. TX where became the 2nd judge of that county. In 1870 Census he was in McCulloch Co. TX where he served as the first judge until the county lines were redrawn and then was found to be San Saba Co. TX. His 2nd wife was Mary GUESS (GUEST) born in TN 12-24-1827 her father born in SC. If any info on John or Mary please respond.
