Advance in the extreme northern part of Stoddard Co., is on the Hoxie Branch of the Frisco.
In 1912 it had a population of 621.
It had about twenty business establishment.
It is 3 1/2 miles northeast of Brownwood, 2 miles southwest of Toga.
