with Timothy Kibby orginial claimant, inherited from John Zumwalt.
George and Mary did not come in 1806 to MO with his parents; they arrived in MO
from VA 1807-1808. Death date calculated at 1832 - estate closed in 1841.
Arrived in MO 1807-1808.

Mary Steele

A widow not listed in estate papers; believed to be the sister of Henry
Steele. Bath Co., VA marriage records

John Journey dec, adm John McConnell and Evan Lamasters. Bond for $2,000 with
Peter Journey, James Journey and Warren Cottle JR securities. 1805 census
lists a Peter Journey and John Journey.

John Journey had Spanish Land Grant C-17. Certificate #743 on land claimed by
John Journey, issued to John Journey; water course Missouri; 600 arpents. Houck
Vol. ii pg 101 states that Peter, Joseph and James settled on the Missouri at
Green's Bottom.

Elizabeth

Administrators Bonds dated 1 Oct 1827. Administrator John McConnell,
securities George Hoffman and Archibald Shobe. Five heirs listed: Peter, James,
Joseph Journey, Catharine McConnell and Adria Lamisters.

Partly speculation that Major Kendel is her husband. Margaret's will
mentioned Louis Guennelle - sometimes Kenelle - son. More research needed to
verify.

buried with Pierre and daughter Catharine. 1850 census age 46; 1860 age 56;
1870 age 67. There was a marriage of Major S. F. Kendel/Catharine Sumner
5/2/1835?? Will Vol. 4-96. William Schaffer executor. Dated 6 Apr 1874,
probate 13 July 1875. Descrepency in Cemetery records.
