girls to be raised by their father's aunts. Question? Why didn't their
grandmother Nancy Hern care for them - unless she was in another area - or
desceased.
Anna and Ellen were living with James Ellison and wife Susan Barton Ellison in
1880 in Lodi, CA.

A J. B. Hern married a Sarah Cooper 20 Sep 1881 Fresno Co. Could Margaret have
died; children living with aunts and later Joshua remarried? Trying to locate
census.
