Speculation that Lucy's mother was NOT Mary Bradford. A B. C. Hancock md.
Lucy Griggsly 4 Apr 1904 Fresno, CA; frequestly English names were provided the
authorities by the Indians although they meant nothing. Neighbors eventually
forced Ben to marry Lucy after a child had been born to him.
