Speculation on parentage of William.
Possible sister Milla married daughter after wife of William - Cyrena.
Harrolds lived near Hancocks for many years. William not listed with Leonard
Harrold in 1850 Boone Co; Believe he was on the wagontrain with Bartons headed
for California.

Hancock; living with Jonathan Barton in 1850 Boone Co, MO. John C. had
previously been believed to have been deceased - add in newspaper was found
reading: "Hancock, Lorena C. (Boone Co) wife of John; he is in Iowa Territory
COP 29 July 1842 and is about to marry; she states she is his legal wife, dau
of Jonathan Barton.

Cemetary records, Zumwalt-Murdock Burying Ground.
Letters of Adm., Vol. 1 page 83 - admix Mary Murdock. Children Listed in Prob.
Vol. 1 #360 3 Dec 1831 for division of property. Tombstone record for dates of
birth and death. He could have possibly been born in another state before they
went to Kentucky. Records from Nita Robbin.
