Query 459
Surnames: PERRY
Submitter: Beth Perry (bthmbl@centurytel.net)
Date: 09 Jun 2001

Hello Alcorn County,
I am researching the PERRY family of Crawford County, PA., and have one small connection to Alcorn.
It is possible that my 2nd-gr-uncle, George W. PERRY died about the time of the battle of Corinth. His death date is listed as 23 MAY 1862.
I found a memorial marker in CRAW that is no longer fully legible. I can just make out his name and Corinth. Since there is a GAR flag holder next to this stone I am guessing that he was there.
I can find no information on this gent either in CRAW or in any of the PA Civil War books I have looked in.
If anyone has any ideas on where to find something about him, please let me know.
Sincerely, Beth Perry bthmbl@centurytel.net
