I am looking for information on the Issac Thomas Family. Issac and his wife Docia M. Parkey lived in the Corinth area from the late 1890's until the early 1920's. They had 6 children, Curtis, Everett, Roy, Mollie, John and Ginny. Roy Thomas stayed in Corinth and had a roofing and sheet metal shop. John( my grandfather)moved to Jackson, MS. My Great-grandmother lived in Corinth, where she raised 5 children. Her name was Betty Beauty Moore Phillips. She was born in Holly Springs, MS -1850, died in Corinth in 1932 or 1934. BLOUNT Isaac Isaac Blount was born either in 1771 or 1781 in North Carolina and he migrated to Carroll County Tennessee in the early 1800's and then went to Ripley, Mississippi. Both Isaac and his wife, Catherine Lovey Jones, are buried in the Rucker graveyard about 6 mil es northwest of Ripley. Their son Barney is listed in Mississippi census of 1850. A daughter, Malissa who married Green King also resided in Ripley. Isaac and Catherine Lovey Jones had the following children: William,Jones,John Gray,Barney,Wiley,Drusilla, M alissa,Sarah,Mary, and Eliza. Eliza Blount born about 1820 married William C.McCord and they were the parents of my paternal grandmother who married William Andrew Dimmick and they lived in Paducah,Ky, this is where I too grew up.
