These photographs submitted by Floyce R. Woods are not photographs of any of her family members or anyone that she knows. The story of how Flo came to possess these photographs is quite unusual and very interesting and adds greatly to the mystery of who these people are and whatever became of them.
Back in the 1950's in Kosciusko, Mississippi Flo's father, Boyd Reynolds, was a cerpenter. He had a job remodeling a house on East Jefferson Street in Kosciusko. He had been hired by the new owners who had just purchased the house. The previous owners had already vacated the premises, apparently leaving behind a box of photographs. Flo's father found the photographs and took them home planning to put them out with the trash. Mrs. Reynolds, being very much a family person and an amateur genealogist, would not allow Mr. Reynolds to throw them out in the trash. So far years Mrs. Reynolds held on to those family photographs of a family ahe didn't know and whose whereabouts remain unknown to this day.
Recently, Flo Reynolds Woods sold the family home and in the process of cleaning out the attic, she cane across these photographs that had been stored there all these years. Flo would like to see these photographs returned to the family or descendants of the family that lived on East Jefferson Street in Kosciusko in the 1950's. Flo recently posted a notice on the Mississippi Queries Forum Board hoping that someone would recognize the surnames that appear on some of the photographs. The names are Luckett, Eads and Gerald. After you have viewed the photographs, if you think you know something of these family members please send an e-mail to theAttala County Coordinator for ALHN.
