Lillie Winfred Griffith, daughter of John William Griffith, who

John David Hitt. I have found John's father listed on the 1900
census as
Ben H. Hitt married to Mandy Chesney. I have been searching for
a long
time to locate Ben. I think the census might have been
incorrect and his
name was John Benjamin Hitt and his wife was Amandy Jane
Chesney. They
were living in House, MS. when they died.
I hope someone in Lauderdale Co. can help me out on this mattter.

living in the Enterprise, Stonewall area, they had about nine
children,
one son was named Steve he m.Amelia Warren they were born abt.
1820 they
had about four or five kids one named Willis born 1881, Now the
problem
comes in that all these men had more than one marriage and all
the
children have not been found. Any African American in the area
with a big
hole in there Walker tree please contact me.
