JOHNSON, OTT, OTTS posted by Joyce R. Bradley on Thursday, May 1, 1997

OTT - I am researching the OTT family of Dale and Clarke counties, Alabama. A descendant of my OTTS - Richard OTT b. 1805, SC, and his wife Ann (?) were listed on the 1860 Lauderdale Co., MS. censu record. Children listed on the census in this household were William, Martha, Mary, and Daniel OTT. Daniel, the youngest child, was listed as age 3 and born in MS. So, Richard and Ann OTT must have left Dale Co., AL., before 1857. By the 1870 Lauderdale Co., MS census, Ann was listed as the wife of Andrew JOHNSON. I would like to correspond with anyone who has information on this family. I am willing to share my information. May 1, 1997.
