These MILLERs and their two sons (William being one) supposedly came to MS to teach. We don't know their tribe or from where they came (Oklahoma is mentioned). We do know that William married Annie M. GOFORTH of Newton County and that Thelma MILLER, my late mother-in-law, was born in Lauderdale County. My thought was that it might help to identify schools of the mid to late 19th century in Lauderdale and Newton Counties where the teachers might have been employed and then see if I can find records.
