Jan. 14, 2009 Janie Fisher Hagwood Janie Fisher Hagwood Services for Janie Fisher Hagwood will be held today at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenny McGill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Hagwood, 80, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Infinity Hospice. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She lived a Christian life and kept her faith even in her most painful times. She always had a kind word for everyone and would put others needs before her own. She had a love and bond with all of her family. She was a person you could go to with a problem and she would listen, advise, and pray with you. She was an inspiration to others who were in pain or had a sickness and would give encouragement and always told them to never give up. She had many close friends that she loved to visit and worship with. She felt the Lord had blessed her in so many ways and this is how she will be remembered. Survivors include her daughter, Faye C. Davis and her husband, Danny, of Meridian; sons, Van Hagwood and his wife, Bobbie, of the Whynot Community and Bobby R. Hagwood and his wife, Tommie, of the Zero Community; grandchildren: Lisa Hagwood McGrew, Lavelle Hagwood, Angela A. Hagwood Davidson and her husband, Scotty, Chris Hagwood and his wife, Kym; great-grandchildren, Holly Jones, Stormy Hagwood, Starr Hagwood, Trevor Davidson, Ethan Hagwood and Lexie Hagwood; a sister, Helen Mitchell, of Zero; a brother, Gene Fisher and his wife, Sara, of Zero; a sister-in-law, Drue Fisher; a brother-in-law, Wayne Boardman and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hagwood; parents, Robert and Sarah Fisher; a granddaughter, Lora Hagwood Jones; sisters, Margaret Pickard and Lillian Boardman; a brother, Everett Fisher; brothers-in-law, Edgar Pickard and Leo Mitchell and a nephew, Barry Pickard. Pallbearers will be her family.
