Died: February 1979 "According to her obituary, found in the St. Petersburg Times and entered here on June 9, 1998: Sarah Leona Jones of 10720 Cherokee Avenue North, died Thursday, February 1979. She came here 34 years ago from her native Meridian, MS and was a record clerk for the IRS. She was a corporal of the Marines in WWI and received a good conduct medal. She received two degrees from George Washington University and was formerly a high school English teacher and a member of the Matron of Bay Pines for five years. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Virgil W. Morrow of St. Petersburg. The Baynard-Thompson Seminole Beach Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of services."
