    Joshua H. Pickett
    Joshua H. Pickett, 63, yr old farmer of Meridian, RFD 3, died at his residence Tuesday evening at 11 p.m. Mr. Pickett was a native of Butler, Alabama, and was affiliated with the Methodist Church. He was married to Miss Johnnie Coleman in 1897 and besides one daughter, Mrs. Annie Mae Keene, Meridian, RFD 3; five grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd D. Pickett and Nathan B. Pickett of Meridian, RFD 3, and the Rev. Robert Tilden Pickett, Louisiana, survive her. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. The Rev M.R. Fluery, assisted by the Rev. E. Stephens, and R.W. Sumrall, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Pallbearers Active: Edwin Sumrall, Oscar Muse, Ludie Purvis, Adrian Ethridge, Nolan Thomas, & Woodie Fountain. Honorary Pallbearers: George Tate, Dr. W.W. Irby, Dr. L. Hiatt, Dr. W. Jeff Anderson, Robert L. Pickett, John P. Martin, W.H. Hancock, Pomp Oxyner, Muff Robinson, B.F. Chapman, George Gay, Ben Ethridge, Luther Walker, Ross Burnett, S.P. Bruce, Lambert Pickard, M.T. Stone, Willis Taylor, Willie McDonald, Garland Foreman, Grady Pickard, and Clarence Bynum. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
