    Services for Bertha Mae Jones Pickett Dearman Pickett will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Everett Bonner and the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be held in Springhill United Methodist Cemetery. Mrs. Pickett, 79, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 18, in Lauderdale County. The Clarke County native was a homemaker and a member of Springhill United Methodist Church. Survivors include a grandson, Paul Rutledge of Meridian; three granddaughters, Susan Ware and Gladys Culpepper, both of Meridian, Cheryl Miller of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Christine Jeffcoat of Laurel; two brothers, Breland Jones of Lubbock, Texas, Raymond Jones of Pascagoula; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Opal Delores Pickett Rutledge (daughter of Bertha Mae Jones and Milton Franklin Pickett); four brothers, Herman Jones, Robert Jones, Lonnie Jones, and Lawrence Jones, and two sisters, Flossie Ballard and Julia Bell Hester. Pallbearers include Josh Rutledge, Guy Meador, Billy Joseph, J.E. Joiner, Donald Lewis, and P.J. Burns.
