Mrs. James Daniel Pickett, of Toomsuba, died at half-past seven o’clock last night at her home in that place. The Funeral will be held at Toomsuba Sunday morning at 9:30 o’clock, Rev. R.J. Bateman, Pastor of Central Baptist Church officiating, and the body will be brought to Meridian on the 2:15 train for interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Minnie Shannon Pickett is survived by her husband, James Daniel Pickett; two brothers, Will and John Shannon, of Montgomery, Ala; two children, Leslie Pickett, of Houston, Texas, and Miss Ruby Claire Pickett, of Toomsuba, Miss; her mother, Mrs. N.A. Shannon, of Meridian; four brothers; L.E. Shannon, of Moselle, W.F. Shannon, of Meridian, J.B. Shannon of Montgomery, Alabama, two sisters; Mrs. H.B. Colvin, of Meridian, and Mrs. J.D. Foster, of Memphis, Tenn.; two aunts: Mrs. J.T. Pigford, of Toomsuba, Ms., and Mrs. F.M. Kelly, of Meridian, Ms; three uncles: T.E. Shannon and J.C. Shannon both of Toomsuba, Ms. and S.H. Shannon of Meridian, MS.
