Miss Julia Magadalene Pickett, 64, died Thursday at 6 a.m. at a local hospital after an illness of several months. She was a consecrated Christian woman, and for a number of years was active in church circles being a consistent member of the Fifth Street Methodist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Misses Sallie and Bettie Pickett; four brothers, Lloyd D. Pickett, Joshua H. Pickett, Nathan B. Pickett, of Mount Horeb, and Rev. Robert T. Pickett of Bienville, La.; three nieces, Mrs. Mart T. Gray, Mrs. Benjamin F. Boggs, Miss Lucy Fisher, one nephew, Robert Fisher all of Meridian, and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 4:30. Rev. Paul D. Hardin officiating. Interment to follow in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
