    Funeral services for Angie S. Pickett
    Angie S. Pickett Services for Angie S. Pickett will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m.at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with teh Revs. James Gibson and Tom Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Pickett, 90, of Meridian died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Pickett was one of the first to develop home delivery of the Meridian Star to residents outside the city and serviced that area for over fifty years. She offered service to the Zero and Clarkdale communities, traveling 125 miles a day with a customer base of over four hundred. Easily recognized in her green Volkswagen ≥bug≤, she was a familiar sight along the highway and county roads. Mrs.. Pickett was a member of Mount Horeb Baptist church for over sixty years. During this time she served in whatever area she was asked. She and her late husband, Arnold Pickett helped in starting a mission church sponsored by Mt. Horeb which is now the Savoy Baptist Church on Hwy 11 South. She served as treasurer for Mt. Horeb for over thirty-five years. Her church responsibilities were something she took very seriously and with much delight. Survivors include her sons; Jim, Ted and his wife Syd, David and his wife Paula; daughter, Debbie Alexander Hornsby, grandchildren, Chad Pickett, Wes Pickett, Cathy Pickett, Mandy Todd and her husband Wayne, and Paige Hornsby, three great grandsons, Curt, Coleman, and Connor Todd. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold Pickett and grandson Jonathan Pickett, son of David and Paula Pickett, and her parents John Macagor Suttles and Mittie RoseAnn Eubanks. Pallbearers will be her nephews and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday 5-8 at the funeral home. ,
