Services will be held for Marie Roton Coleman, 84, Friday, April 21, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Dean and Rev. T.W. Barnes. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA at 12 noon after the chapel service. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2000 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street. Mrs. Coleman died, Wednesday, April 19, 2000 in Shreveport, LA, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Stamps, AR, and was a former resident of Homer, LA. She lived in Bossier City since 1985 and attended First United Pentecostal Church in Bossier City. Her husband, Herman Dudley Coleman, Sr.; and several brothers and sisters preceded Mrs. Coleman in death. Survivors are her sons, Herman D. Coleman, Jr., and wife Donnis, Vernon Coleman and wife Sondra and Jerry Coleman and wife Glenda all of Bossier City LA; daughter, Barbara Eagle and husband, Alvin of Bossier City, La; brother James “Bebo” Roton, Jr. of Minden, LA; grandchildren, Vickie, Buddy, Twinkye, Tony, Laura, Mark, Deedre, Gini Lu, Kim, Kendall, and Jerry, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Don Reeves, David Howell, John Holley, Gene Jones, Charlie McKenzie, and Jerry Roton.
