FATHER SUFFERS HURTS IN CRASH IN DETROIT AREA
An attractive 16 year old Bonita girl, Miss Patricia Ann Suttle, was reported instantly killed near Detroit, Michigan, when an auto driven by her father, Elmer C. Suttles of Detroit, was involved in a traffic accident. The dead girl is the daughter of Mrs. Lessie B. Suttle of Bonita. Killed in the same mishap was Mrs. Elmer Suttle of Detroit, Michigan. Miss Suttle’s stepmother suffered critical injuries and was confined in a Detroit hospital. The dead girl’s mother, Mrs. Lessie Suttle, was declared to be suffering from severe shock at the residence of her mother in Meridian. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Miss Suttle motored to Detroit about 2 weeks ago with her father, who had come to Meridian incident to the death of his father, Suttle, it was learned, had decided to drive his daughter half-way back to Meridian, at the half-way point, she was to journey the rest of the way by rail. A report from Detroit near noon Tuesday said Suttles injuries had changed from critical to serious and he would live. The deceased girl was a devout and regular member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Bonita and was a constant member of the Bible class. She was a student in Senior High School in Meridian. Remains were scheduled to leave Michigan Tuesday night, arriving in Meridian Wednesday at 4 pm. The body will be taken to Webb’s. Other Survivors of Miss Suttle are: two half sisters, Mesdames Helen Pulaski, Los Angeles; and Mike Dwyer Jr., Laurel. The stepmother resided in Detroit before her marriage.
