Tishomingo County.

Be it remembered that there was by and held at the Courthouse in the town of Jacinto on the 2nd. Monday in May 1840 being the 11th day of said month a cession of the Board of Police for said County. Proclamations was made as the members is and then in present the Hon. John C.Carter President of the Board and Robert H. Hicks, Wright Bond, James H. Robertson and John Langley members thereof.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that Joshua L. Pope be allowed the sum of five dollars for killing and destroying one wolf in Tishomingo County out of any moneys in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated and that he have his warrant.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that David D. Parker be allowed the sum of ten dollars for killing and destroying two wolves in Tishomingo County out of any moneys in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated and that he have his warrant.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that Henry Clement be allowed the sum of twenty dollars for killing and destroying four wolves in Tishomingo County out of any moneys in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated and that he have his warrant.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that William Bishop be allowed the sum of five dollars for killing and destroying one wolf in Tishomingo County out of any moneys in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated and that he have his warrant.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that Andrew Cathy be allowed the sum of ten dollars for killing and destroying two wolves in Tishomingo County out of any moneys in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated and that he have his warrant.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that Edmond Young be allowed the sum of forty five dollars for killing and destroying nine wolves in Tishomingo County out of any moneys in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated and that he have his warrant.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that William Moore be appointed overseer on the Jacinto and Nashoba road from the district old road to the Branch between Samuel Stockton and Dial Mills and that he have the hands of...

Newel opening the same himself and putting it in as good order as the present road.

Issued - It is ordered by the Board that the following sums are allowed and the same is hereby appropriated to the several persons therein named for services as clerks of the elections held in Tishomingo County payable out of any money in the County Treasury not otherwise appropriated.

To Henry Canfield served two days at the precinct at Barnes Mills the sum of four dollars.

To John Chase for one day service the sum of two dollars.

To John W. Willis service one day as returning officer from Barnes Mills precinct the sum of two dollars.

To Johnson Hill for four days service at Sund_g times the sum of eight dollars.

To Laban Kelly for five days service at Sund_g times the sum of ten dollars

To Wesley J. Barnes the sum of two dollars for one day service.

To Jesse Barnes the sum of four dollars for two days service.

To W. J. Barnes the sum of four dollars for two days service.

To Noah Millan the sum of eight dollars for four days service.

To John Canfield the sum of four dollars for two days service.

And it is further ordered that they have their warrants for said sums respectively.

And then the Board adjourned until the 2nd Monday in August having been in cession one day.
