LEWIS
My grandfather, Thomas Newton Lewis (1880-1943) in Benton Co. TN was the
son of Thomas L. Lewis (1851-1914) of Henry Co. TN whose father, Isaac Lewis
seems to have come from Tishomingo Co MS. There was a William Lewis,
from the Lewis's of Virginia, whose trail ends with this note:"died in
Tishomingo County in Mississippi, leaving seven (or several) children. "
That note was found in a book printed in 1904, with no follow-up
information. I am trying to learn if there was possibly a connection of
these two loose ends of a Lewis line. Thanks for any help.
