I am descendant from a Charles Harrell & Elvina Jane Kitchens (12/3/1835 - 1913) who moved from Georgia to Mississippi and were living in Tishomongo O. at thetime of the 1850 census. Her father was Benjamin Kitchens (b. ca. 1793 in SC - d. 1857 in MS) and Del phia Yancy (b. ca. 1798) if I'm not mistaken. My great-great grandfather John M. Ward married a Mollie Catherine Harrell. He had first married her sister Francina Harrell but she died. The information that I've obtained through a friend states that the two si sters were the children of Charles and Elvina mentioned above. There are many Harrells and Kitchens in GA and MS but I can't get these two connected. That's why I'm asking for your help. There was a daughter of Benjamin Kitchens who married a John J. Harrell. Ben and Elvina Harrell had a daughter named Delphine which is very close to Delphia Kitchens' name. I would greatly appreciate any information you have. Sincerely, |
