I believe that Andrew Jackson Harralson (and this can be spelled HARALSON, HARRALDSON, HARALDSON, ETC.) was in Tishomingo County between 1840 and 1850. He went to Anderson County, Texas; and is on the 1850 census there with a family named MORGAN. Mrs. Morgan had children by a previous marriage to someone named HERTE or HESTER. She may have been related to Andrew JACKSON and I believe that she, also, was from Tishomingo County. (Mrs. Morgan's first name was Elizabeth.) If anyone has any information about these families in Tishomingo County in the mid-1800's, please E-Mail me. (I've "hit a wall" here.

My records indicate he was born in Hardin Co., Tenn. the 1850 census shows a Wade Norris, 40 and an Arch Norris, 57. Could this be a brother and father of John? It lists Arch as being a carpenter and John was a carpenter later in Houston where he also was Fire Chief. Does anyone know if other Norris families went to Navarro Co., Tex. in the mid 1850's with the Peels, Michael Bond family and the John Norris family? Any help with this family would be appreciated

Seeking info/descendants of Walter B. ELLIS (1852-1940). He married (1) Sallie Walker CLOPTON (1852-1912) (when?), had children Ben Clopton E., Mary Ivy E., and Bruce E. He married (2) Gertrude Alsobrooks (1886.1968) and had three children, the oldest named Robert, who was living in Muscle Shoals, Ala. in 1940. The second was living in Iuka that year. Most of this is from Walter's obituary, but the microfilm cut off some of the names. Walter was a lawyer for Southern RR in Iuka. It is said he went to the Yukon gold rush in 1898-99, but was unsuccessful. After that, he is said to have embarked on a lecture tour, "A Fool's Errand," which "made money." Is there anything to support this story? Walter was the sixth of nine children born (in Capleville, Tenn.) to Benjamin Robert ELLIS and Sarah (Bruce) Ellis.

David G. Montgomery married Mary E. Kerr in Tishomingo Count October 25, 1856. He was killed in during the civil war at the battle of Perrysville. Their daughter Leora A. Montgomery (b-Corinth MS 5/28/1861) married Robert L. Suitor (b-Ruckerse Vill, MS) on November 8, 1881. His parrents were John P. H. Suitor and Mary E. Garrett. My interest is to find some record or pictures of these people. I have not been able to locate where David Montgomery was barried. My gr. grandmother told me that he did not die in the battle its self but of his injuries later. I am at a loss on were to look next
