RE: Old Tish Co. Probate Court Book C - 1837-1846 I am interested in the Rob(b)ins listed in this book, but I find the index confusing. Other Names Book 1 has 7 Robbins on pp 14-16, but Other names Books 2 & 3 have Robbins on pp 175-306. I thought there were only 5 volumes altogether. Can someone explain this to me? Also, what exactly is in these books? Thanks! |

Finis Kennedy is on the 1860 Tish Co. census hh 134. His daughter M.E. (Mary Elizabeth)age 4 is my G-grandmother. He has a daughter Sarah also on the census that was born about 1853. I would appreciate any info. on her. Also on the same census there is a Kennedy family 32 hh's from Finis Kennedy. On pages 26 and 27, hh 166. Can anyone read the Kennedy mans first name? I am seeking information on Amour J. Hunt. He is in the Federal Census of 1860 [with first name spelled wrong -Armour] as a tailor age 52 birth state PA, living in corinth ,Tishomingo County, MS with wife Martha, age 25, birth state NC and daughters Mary E. 9 and Julia 7, birth places MS. His civil war record shows that he joined the Corinth Rifles in 1861 for a year, then reinlisted in the 9th Mississippi Infantry untill he was paroled in 1865 in Greensboro NC.
