She married (Marion) Francis Miller of MS in 1878. They had children in Corinth and then moved to McNairy County, TN. Meeks Midleton FAULKENBERRY/FORTENBERRY was born about 1823 in Tennessee. He fought with Company D, 26th Regiment Mississippi Volunteers during the Civil War. Meeks joined the army at Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi. He and his wife, Phoebe A., lived in Tishomingo County when the 1850 and 1860 censuses were taken. Where was he is 1870 and 1880? Where did he die, and where was he buried? His children were James Thomas, Sarah J., John, Mary E., and Lucy A. His father was James Faulkeberry; who was his mother?

BROCK m. abt 1853 to a woman named Sarah who was "half Cherokee", prob in Tishomingo Co. After 3 daughters, she probably died abt 1856 & he remarried Ann Williams and she had 8 children, one b. 1870 in Coldwater, MS. They are next found in Falls Co, TX in 1900. I am researching the Joseph John Persons family. He was b. 1792 in N.C. and lived in Tishomingo Co. during the 1830 and 1840 censuses. He m. Nancy abt. 1839 probably in Tishomingo Co. and moved to Tippah (now Benton) Co., Ms. shortly after 1840. Joseph had been married before and raised a family. Nancy was b. about 1821. Any information about the Persons line or Nancy, especially her maiden name (possibly MILLER) will be greatly appreciated. I have a good bit of Person/Persons information and am willing to share.

I believe the parents of Wm. C. Hall and Daniel Clarence Hall were J. Davis [probably John] Hall and Elizabeth Upton. The father of J. Davis was Josiah Hall. This family migrated from AL>Tishomingo Co., MS by 1879. I have lost track after that until Dan C. Hall m. in Dickson Co., TN in 1906. Family history says these 2 brothers grew up in an OK orphanage. Any help appreciated. I have hit a brick wall !!

John D. King, 1844. John PLUNKETT m. Catharine L. Watson, 1847. William PLUNKETT m. Catharin Levin, 1850. Riley PLUNKETT m. Lucy Nunley, 1856. I think the PLUNKETTs came from Alabama, but don't know when. I'm particulary interested in confirming Elizabeth's marriage and in finding out the siblings' parents & their origin. Thank you.

The 1850 Tishomingo Co. Census shows a Nancy WHITE as head of household (she was presumably a widow) with 5 children: Martha Ann, Jabers?, Joseph, John and Allen WHITE. By 1860 she had evidently remarried to one J. L. MCLESSEY or MCCRESEY. Children listed in that census were Rober, Eliza and Thomas, by her second marriage, and Jabus?, Joseph, John and Allen WHITE. I believe Joseph to be my husband's great grandfather, Joseph Montague WHITE and would appreciate correspondence from anyone connected with any of these persons.

Searching for information on TRAMELS in Tishomingo County . Hamilton Tramel born abt. 1807 in S.C. was married to Elizabeth KITE. The 1850 Tish. Co. Census showed this couple with their 8 children. Hamilton was not on the 1860 Census. My G-G- Grandfather, son of Hamilton was Benjamin TRAMEL married to Louisa FARRIS. Benjamin was on the 1870 Census but was not on the 1880. They had 2 children Mahalia b.1856 and Lovic b. 1859. Mahalia married Eli E. PARSON. Lovic married Joanna UNDERWOOD (cannot find anything on Joanna). Lovic and Mahalia with their families moved to Cass County, Texas. Would appreciate any information as to what happened to Hamilton, Benjamin or Louisa.

My great great grandfather was ISAIAH TROTTER, His children were: David Crocket TROTTER m. Elizabeth OWENS, Jonathan TROTTER m. (1) Eliza WHITE (2) Susan SEWELL, Vashtee TROTTER m. W.P. PEXTON, Solomon TROTTER, Hirum TROTTER m. Martha M. OWENS, Elizabeth TROTTER, Isaiah TROTTER, Josiah TROTTER, Benjamin TROTTER, William TROTTER And Addison TROTTER. Jonathan and Susan Sewell Trotter were my great grandparents. I will exchange information with anyone that has information on any of the above.
My great Uncle Will Trotter died in Tishomingo County in 1929. His wife Agnes Rushing Trotter died in Tishomingo County in 1932. Can anyone tell me where Will and Agnes are buried. Any information on these two will be greatly appreciated. I do not believe that they had children of their own but I have been told that they raised two orphan children. Thank you for any help that you can give me.

Nathaniel C. Thomason married to Anna Long. Have no idea when, where or anything ? They lived in Iuka, Mississippi. They had 5 children. Flem, Marion, Nate, Henry and Luncida. Henry Tobias Thomason was my great grandfather. I don't know when they left Iuka, but my great grandfather Henry ended up in Clarksville, Ark. I don't know what might have happened to my great great grandparents (Nathaniel and Anna). Henry married Mary Wilson. Her father was Robert Wilson (full blood Cherokee). Henry's brother Flem married Mary's sister Nancy WILSON . I'm assuming they got married in Arkansas. I would like to know anything I could of my ancestors in Mississippi.

I am trying to find information on the last names of Nix, Tatum, Fields, and Lindsey, that resided in Tishomingo county in the 1840's and forward. My great great grandmother was Drucilla Fields Petty. Her mother's name was either Mary or Nancy. I cannot find her father's name. On the 1850 census her mother is listed as a widow. Drucilla married Green W. PETTY(G.W.) in 1858. He enlised in the 26th infantry of the Civil War in Tishomingo County. I am trying to find out who his father was and if he had any brothers or sisters. I also have a great grandfather, Jim NIX buried in the Burgess(White)Cemetary. He is ther with my great grandmother, Silona Tatum Nix and some of her relatives. I would like to know more about this family. I am also related to William W. LINDSEY who at one time lived in Tishomingo County Mississippi. He was married several times.
