OSBORNE
Looking for any connections to Francis Marion OSBORNE, born 1822/24 in and
around Union Co.,NC. F.M. was living in & listed on the 1860 census in
Tishamingo Co.,Ms .He was married to Serepta (ELLIOTT ?) They had one child,
Elisabeth OSBORNE, born 1854 in NC. Also living with them was John GRIFFIN ,
age 23, born in NC. I think he maybe related. Serepta died around 1866/67 and
F.M. married Mary MARICLE, born 1840 Tn. She was living a couple of houses
down from F.M. & Serepta on the 1860 census in Tishamingo Co.,Ms. On the 1870
census in Alcorn/Tishamingo Co.,Ms. F.M. & Mary were living with their
children , William Henry, Thomas F. Lee A. & Martha E. OSBORNE. Any info on

BRYANT
I'm looking for any info available on the family of Howard M. Bryant b.
1823 in Jackson Co., Al. He married an Eleanore C. ?, and had the following
children: Thomas b.1844, Louisa b. 1848, Marion b. 1850, William Franklin
b. 1851, John b. 4/16/1858 in Van Zandt Co., Tx. adn James Riley b.
8/30/1860. I beleive the first four children were all born in Tishemingo or
Tippah Co., MS. The 1850 census lists them in Tishemingo County, and Howard
and Eleanore were supposed to have married in 1843 in Tippah County, but
courthouse records were lost in a fire at Ripley. Any help would be greatly

Looking for info on a "SIS"(possibly Sarah) Cadle of Tishomingo
Co. Worked as a housekeeper for a family named Ford and had 3 sons,
Richard, Nick, and Tant. She later married a man named Beard who had a
son named Willie. They had a son together named Austin.
Richard b. 1/23/1872 d. 12/2/1924 married AliceBURCHAM b. 11/23/1879 d.
2/6/1924 dau of Sam A. BURCHAM and Susan D. WILLIAMS Burcham. Any info
on Sis Cadle would be greatly appreciated.

HOWARD
Looking for information on Oliver Lawrence Howard,
b. 7/20/1848 d. 8/24/1940 married Emley Cook b. 6/25/1848
d. 5/21/1928. O.L. Howard served in the Civil War, (possibly the 17th
Miss. Reg CO.F. The partial Widow's Pension form that I have states he
lived all his life in Tishomingo Co, and joined the war in Iuka.
Old records show that in 1890 he made a $10.00 donation to the new
Sardis Baptist Church fund. He, his wife and one daughter are buried in
Little Flock Cemetery. Would like to know who his parents were and if he
had siblings, ect...

I am in hopes of locating information about my ancestor Hickman (John?) Hensley. Family word of mouth states that he built and operated the first grist and sawmill in the Tishomingo area. "He was active in local government, having served on a Grand Jury, and was selected to be a member of a committee to lay out much needed roads."
Six children were born to Hickman and his wife Louisa while they lived
there.Any information would be appreciated.

John Thompson and wife Mary EDWARDS Thompson together with family moved
to Tishomingo Co. MS, from McNairy Co.,TN, in 1830's. Lived there till
death. They lived in the part that became Prentiss Co. in 1860. Who were
John's Parents etc? He was born in VA 24 Jan 1789, and died in Tish. Co.
5 Sept 1869. They left VA in 1820's, went to KY, had 2 children there,
then to McNairy Co. TN, and had 2 more children. John and Mary were
married in Pittsylvania Co. VA 5 Sept 1814.John Thompson and wife Mary Edwards Thompson together with family moved
to Tishomingo Co. MS, from McNairy Co.,TN, in 1830's. Lived there till

I am looking for record of death for William DAVIS and his son John
DAVIS. It is said that William and his son John were killed by Indians
in Tishomingo County in 1829 while loading a boat with a load of hams to
barter with the Indians. Can anyone verify this?

RINEHART/HUTCHERSON/YOUNG
Would like to exchange information on the RINEHART families of old
Tishomingo Co. I have been correlating census and other data for all of
them in an effort to identify members of William RINEHART's family. He
died after the 1845 census. I believe that his widow was Polly RINEHART,
who m. David HUTCHERSON in 1847. They removed to Perry Co., AR,
1850-1860. The Delila Jane RINEHART who m. Abram YOUNG in Tishomingo Co.
in 1855 was my ancestor.

Mike Hill was born 3/12/1839. He married Isabell Jane Dean on 12/30/1863 in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. Jane was the daughter of William Benjamin Dean (7/25/1809-3/10/1891), and Hester S. _______ , (dates unknown). Isabell was born 2/7/1849. Mike died 7/11/1912 and Isabel died 11/12/1916. They are both buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Tishomingo County, Mississippi. Would like to exchange information with anyone researching these lines.

CRISAMORE
Looking for others researching the Crisamore Family of Tishomingo.
William B. Crisamore (circa 1855-1946) first appeared in Tishomingo Co
for the 1880 census. He married Mary. B. Belue (1865-1946) and they
lived in the city of Paden in the county. I know they had atleast one
daughter Ammie Bell Crisamore who married George Talton Claunch.
Several in the Crisamore family (including William & Mary) are buried in
the Friendship Cemetery. Is anyone else working on this family?

Searching for the ancestry of George EPPS who is first found in the 1880 census of Tishomingo County, age 24, farm hand, born in Mississippi. He was living alone. In 1880 he married Martha Catherine GLENN. They lived on a farm near Iuka until 1903 when they moved to Jones County, Texas. They farmed a few years there and then moved to Oklahoma. Martha Catherine was born 12/29/1862 in Tishomingo County. She was the daughter of Robert Washington Glenn (11/10/1815 -12/30/1891) and Mary Jane (Moore) Glenn (6/10/1824 - 8/11/1899).

I would like to post a query regarding the family of EBENEZER B. KING
and wife, MARTHA BREWER who were married in Tishomingo County in 1849.
Ebenezer moved with his mother, Elender, and several children to
Tishomingo from Lincoln County, TN after 1845. His children were:
Adaline, Ebenezer, Jr, Nancy, Miles, Martin, James P, Cornelius,
Columbus, Albert Q., Ephraim, Martha and Henry KING. I would be so
pleased to share information regarding these KINGS between 1845 and
1900. Ebenezer was Justice of the Peace in MS. Hope to hear from

Martha Tirey was the wife of Tom Tittle. This family resided in Old
Tish. county near Belmont. Would appreciate anything on either family.
Would like to know who her parents were. Their son, James C. Tittle was
born 1856 in AL and married Julia Adeline Hopkins born 5/22/1861
d.ca1890. She is buried in Joel cemetery. He returned to AL and
remarried to a Tittle cousin. He supposedly died there. Would like more

David Arthur Horn was born 9/27/1886 in Alcorn Co. m.1907 d.12/5/1941
and is buried in Henry Cem. He married Mattie Glen Voyles born 7/14/1881
in Alcorn Co. d.9/8/1955 in Corinth. Mattie's parents were Alfred Voyles
and Dolly Johnson. Alfred resided in Old Tish. county before Alcorn Co.

Samantha Emaline Taylor born 4/1852 in AL died 1911-13 in Prentiss Co.
Her first husband was Reuben Burress born ca1846 m. by 1870 d.1876 in
Jasper AL when a well caved in on him. They had three small children at
the time of his death. She supposedly came to this area to be near her
side of the family. Don't know her parents. She married the second time
to George W. Jacobs, Sr. Samantha and George are buried in Piney Grove
cemetery near Rienzi. Would appreciate any help and will exchange.
